Brenda's Story
Brenda Goldsmith received her start in the Events/Entertainment Industry when she was hired by Synergistics as a Volunteer Coordinator for the Mellon/6abc Thanksgiving Day Parade in 1996. While working with Synergistics, she coordinated the Mid-Atlantic Festival and Events annual meeting, the Sunoco Welcome America Fourth of July Parade and the America Lighted Boat Parade in the city of Philadelphia.
In May of 1999, she met John M. Best, CEO of JM Best Entertainment and since then has worked on various projects such as the Marian Anderson Award Celebration honoring Gregory Peck, Harry Belafonte and Oprah Winfrey, the Sunoco Welcome America Fourth of July Parade, Millennium Philadelphia’s 24-hour Party, Karastan Carpets’ National Sales Meeting, All-Star Friday Night and the Team-Up Show for the National Basketball Association, the Hope and Help Center of Central Florida’s annual charity fundraiser “The Headdress Ball,” “The National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade,” “The National Memorial Day Parade in Washington, DC,” “The Pre Race Show for the Daytona 500 – Sprint’s Tribute to America,” (4 years) and Walt Disney World’s “Very Merry Christmas Parade.”
She was the Producer/Writer for the production “A Tribute to African-Americans Past and Present.”
She also had the opportunity to work as Talent Coordinator on the 2000 Republican National Convention Lighted Boat Parade and the Inaugural Parade for the Governor of Pennsylvania. She also worked on the International Dragon Boat Race Opening Ceremony held in the City of Philadelphia, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and Extreme Makeover casting and auditions. Last year, she was on tour promoting The Tyra Banks Talk Show, a Telepictures Production which is currently on the air. She also worked as the Production Manager for the “Family Feud” Show which was a Live Event Show held in Las Vegas.
She has been a part of the Senior Producing Team for over 20 years on the 6abc Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Recent projects have included Producing the WAWA Welcome America 4th of July “Gospel on Independence” Show in Philadelphia and various corporate events.
